Are you in the mood for a Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino? Since this iconic drink is not offered all year long, it is always great to know your own DIY Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino recipe, right? Ideally, if I could know ALL the Starbucks DIY recipes, that would be perfect!
Pumpkin spice has become a symbol of the changing seasons and a quintessential fall “experience”. People line up on the day the seasonal drink is brought back each year, and for good reason- it is truly like drinking the autumn season directly from a steaming cup!
But for those who aren’t fans of hot drinks, you can opt for the same delicious pumpkin spice flavor in a cold blended Frappuccino instead.
However, these seasonal favorites will cost you $4 or $5 a pop. Instead, we recommend replicating the recipe in your own kitchen and save big!

All About the DIY Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino
If you’ve been a Starbucks drinker for some time, you may be familiar with the notion that the pumpkin spice line of drinks tastes slightly different from year to year.
Whether or not Starbucks has actually changed the ingredients in the components of the recipe, the procedure for making a copycat recipe of the Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino remains the same.
How Starbucks Makes It
When you order a Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino at Starbucks, your barista starts by filling the cup with dairy milk. This is dumped into the blender, and pumps of Frappuccino roast are added.
Pumpkin spice syrup is added next, then ice, and finally it is blended until smooth. The Frappuccino is served with a sprinkle of cinnamon on top! The Frappuccino syrup is sort of what makes this delicious pumpkin spice drink.
How to DIY a Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino
When duplicating this recipe in your kitchen, there are a few obvious differences. You won’t have access to the specialty Starbucks Frappuccino roast or the pumpkin spice syrup.
But there are some simple ways you can duplicate the flavors of these ingredients and create an equally delicious blended drink and a great pumpkin spice latte!
Making a healthy twist on the pumpkin spice Frappuccino is simple too. Most of the calories in this drink come from the whole milk that Starbucks uses by default in their Frappuccinos, in order to create the perfect creamy texture and full-bodied taste.
If you’re trying to cut calories, the milk is the first place to consider making any swaps.
You can substitute alternative milk that will still be creamy and delicious but far fewer calories and could potentially add some health benefits. Here are some options to consider when making a DIY Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino.
We have also listed some diary free options to make with this coffee Frappuccino!

Creating your own version of the Frappe roast and pumpkin spice syrup is fairly straightforward, though it requires a few extra steps. The Frappe roast is easy- just freeze some previously brewed coffee of your choice.
The pumpkin spice simple syrup takes just about 20 minutes! You will make sugar syrup on the stovetop, and then infuse it with some delicious spices. Though it takes a bit longer, you can actually double or triple the recipe and save the cooled syrup in the fridge so you can make more Frappuccinos later.
Of course, you could always purchase a pumpkin spice flavored syrup from the store instead to save time, but this one will likely taste closer to the Starbucks recipe and we think you will save money.
Here are a couple of versions of the DIY recipe to try out!
